Tasting Photosynthesis investigates photosynthesis through photographic experiments using plant pigments, chlorophyll, sunlight, and fabric. Leaves and other plant parts are placed directly onto light-sensitive surfaces, where traces emerge through prolonged exposure to sunlight. Drawing on historical processes such as anthotypes, the works examine how plants can function not only as subjects of representation but also as active agents in image formation. Produced during the exhibition Erden at Froh Ussicht, the chlorotypes were exposed outdoors, allowing weather conditions, sunlight, and the surrounding environment to directly shape the resulting images.
